Architectural competition for a Social Center in Grand Saconnex – French Switzerland

The proposed project theme is the refurbishment of an existing building, with patrimony value in which a daycare center and working space for a variety of social services are situated, and the construction of two new volumes in its yard, a small theater and a greenhouse.
The interior spaces are extended towards the outside through furbished area, oriented towards the garden that is composed by some valuable trees, protected by law.
The volume of the existing building together with the new interventions participates to the redefinition of the garden space.
The intervention is ecologically sustainable from a technical point of view, using a minimum quantity of energy.
